Defense Reform Study Group Finalizes Its Report

The Defense Reform Study Group, established upon the instruction of President Abdullah Gül, has completed its report. The report written by the Study Group was submitted to the members of the National Security Council (MGK) during the MGK meeting held on August 13 at the Çankaya Presidential Palace.

The Defense Reform Study Group, which was established upon the instruction of President Gül in order to initiate a comprehensive and long term defense reform for Turkey according to the volatile international security environment and regional developments.

The parts of the report that are not tagged classified and the introduction part which President Gül has penned have been made public.
